If we are alive, regardless of our wanting (or not wanting to), we breath. So do we encounter money, though we may or may not be interested!!
Not taking a decision is also a decision. So even when we are not bothered about breathing the right way or managing our money in a better way, we are responsible.
And it appears to me that these two are quite similar. I mean, personal finance is as simple as breathing. Or perhaps, as difficult.
Let’s take a look at our ancient system of Yoga where Pranayama - the science of breath control, is an integral part. Proper Breathing in a Yogic point of view is to bring more oxygen to the blood and to the brain, and to control prana or the vital life energy.
Pranayama have also proved to help the prevention of major diseases and cure minor illnesses.
My understanding is that pranayama makes you more aware of yourself. For example, the breathing, when you are happy, is different from the breathing when you are angry.
And personal finance, too, makes you aware of your money. What you want to do with your money (breath) may be different from what others want. That’s perhaps a reason why it’s personal. Personal Finance.
