Ramit’s I Will Teach You To Be Rich is Out

Today (March 23) while Tata launches it’s Rs 1 lac ($2000) car, Nano in India, I’m equally excited about the launch of Ramit’s IWillTeachYouToBeRich book.  You know that I love Ramit’s style of writing and making things as drab as budgeting very interesting. And I’ve told you about the book earlier

I was lucky to get some excerpts of the book from Ramit. Though some of the content is US centric, the principles he talks about is universal.

Reading the chapter on “Conscious Spending was thoroughly enjoyable.

It was  like taking an awful fruit (Budgets), hammering it down into pulp, adding a dash of vodka & viagra and making it into a health drink!!

Btw, I sat down with my own dashboard on money tracking (we don’t have Mint, Wesabe or Quicken in India) and built this chart on “Conscious Spending Plan”. Want to take a look?

I can filter it for every Month/Year and I will definitely track this one as I go along.

More: It works and it’s not boring. Check out how some of the readers used the book to save thousands. But to be serious for a second, the goal of the book is not to create an encyclopedic book that lists every financial term and option. Nobody wants to read a dictionary. If someone gave me a dictionary for my birthday, I would burn it. But it IS designed to reduce the number of choices when it comes to your finances, and let you focus on automating your money so it does the right thing.

Ramit’s giving away tons of excerpts to show you that this really works: See book excerpts.

Go on, order at Amazon or B&N
