Take a look at my efforts in the area of personal finance. They are:
- This Blog. The blog has been there for the last three years. And from being an e-scratch pad to improve my own knowledge, it now has an opinion of it’s own.
- RupeeManager. RupeeManager is a desktop software that helps you track and manage your money.
- RupeeCamp Workshops. RupeeCamps is a money management workshop which will help you to make better financial decisions.
- RupeeManager Online Workshops. This e-Workshop will be an online version of the RupeeCamp in-person workshop.
- Personal Finance201. This website will offer updated articles, calculators and other resources on personal finance. .
- Zoho Tracket Application. The online version of RupeeManager software. The app has earned me dollars from around the world and not just India.
- Slideshare Presentations. These are presentations on personal finance that I have uploaded on Slideshare.
- RupeeManager on Twitter. The twitter channel for RupeeManager. The place with few words.
- Facebook Page on RupeeManager.
- Advisor’s Directory. This is the place where all advisors can register and make their webpresence felt.
Future projects include
- Financial Products Database,
- Satisfaction Surveys,
- Financial Freedom Yearbook
There’s a question that doesn’t leave me alone, “What can you offer the world that no one else can?”. It’s a pretty tough question. Maybe this blog will help me with finding the answer. In any case, I believe that I can be the medium which can change the way Indians manage their money!
Thanks for stopping by. Comments and feedback is most welcome.

Hi Ranjan,
I am working on a project on how to mobilise Fds. I had some questions regarding FDs.
1. I wanted know if institutions invest in FDs and why?
2. Also what distribution channels should one employ to mobilise FDs; especially from instituitons / companies? and last -
3. Why do manufacturing companies and other companies not related to Banking and finance offer FDs?
Thanks in advance for helping me out,
Rohini

hello Rajan
Your spreading of financial literacy is really impressive. I work as a Lecturer in a college in Hyderabad. I like to launch ‘financial literacy club’ in our college. I feel through that we can do certain programs relating to financial literancy. Then, i also feel that well structured and unbiased mobile SMS messages can also help in developing financial awareness. Please comment on this. My strong strong opinion is that educational institutions can and should play a key role in financial literacy.
@Sarada, Thanks. Technology is a useful tool and you have rightly pointed out the use of mobile. But they are at best, a tool. Can’t replace the individual willingness to learn.
We all can spread/share our knowledge and all the best to you.
