Workshops

A “Financial Health Check & Planning Workshop” is coming soon! Stay tuned for updates.

Background
In India, the financial service providers’ focus on providing commission based recommendations. The financial services advisor is not bothered about providing the knowledge or the tools to their customers to help them manage their money. The problem is compounded by a majority of people who avoid money matters and do not grant it the seriousness that it deserves.

There is a huge information asymmetry in Financial Services industry where the sellers have much more information than the buyer. This lack of transparency leads to uninformed financial decisions even by educated people. Also, we have lack of user friendly measurement tool to track our money before we even can start managing our money.

Competition and active regulation has changed a lot of rules in the past few years. Examples of no entry load on Mutual Funds and the recommendations of the D Swarup Committee on doing away with commissions by 2011 come to mind. There is a unique opportunity to take advantage of these changes to manage our money in a better way.

I believe that it takes all the three components of learning, managing and investing working together and in tandem to manage your money in a holistic manner.
